Inversions and Arm Balances Advanced Anatomy
Workshop with Petra Carmichael

Practicing yoga give us so many opportunities to learn to overcome chalanges. At first its on the mat practicing asanas which we can carry out to our everyday lifes. The Arm balances and inversions are two pose categories that clearly integrates oposites within the body. First when we start practicing yoga we mostly stretching the back and front of our body in standing and siting positions. We are walking every day on our feet siting down and so on which makes our mind and body see the world from that perspective. But what happens when we do the oposite? When we turn our body upsite down? Fear of unknown! Stability? Am I going to fall? Can I do this? What are the others doing, thinking? All this is on our mind making it so busy , unabeling us to think straight and concentrate on actual pose. Than we fall or not even get there... 

This workshop will try to help us change all that. Transforming our mind into focus on one thing, breathing and trying to focus on the transition. Learning the oposite muscle groups which we use in inversions and arm balances helps a lot for being more focused on the right muscle groups involved. We will cruise through from the very basic asanas up to advanced like hand stand. Learning to fall down in the right way so you dont hurt yourself and overcome the fear of falling will be also a part of the workshop.
